About Team Shaw Caribbean Press
The story of a Caribbean publishing house built on the lessons of what goes wrong when authors trust the wrong people. Read the founder's note.
Built by a Caribbean compliance officer who needed a publisher he could trust.
Team Shaw Caribbean Press exists because a Caribbean compliance officer went looking for a publisher who met international standards and could not find one close to home. So he built one. The press launched in 2026 from Georgetown, Guyana. We serve authors across the Caribbean and the diaspora, on honest pricing, with the contract clauses that protect authors written into our standard agreements rather than buried in fine print.
The Caribbean publishing problem.
For a long time the only honest options for a Caribbean author have been to ship a manuscript to a press in London or New York, or to go alone on Amazon and learn the platform the hard way. The middle path, a publisher close to home with international standards, has been thin on the ground. Some local houses do excellent work. Others have taken authors' rights and royalties in ways no reputable press in any other market would accept. Authors deserve to know which house is which before they sign.
The founder.
EICCIO Advisors, our parent organization.
TSCP sits inside the EICCIO Advisors group, a Caribbean consulting firm that has spent years working with regulators, banks, and professional bodies across the region. EICCIO is also the parent of La Caribeña News, our sister publication. The three businesses share standards, infrastructure, and an editorial mission. They do not share ownership of your work. When you publish with TSCP, the copyright is yours.
La Caribeña News, our media partner.
La Caribeña News is an independent Caribbean business and policy publication serving thirty-three Caribbean and Latin American nations. When you publish with us on Tier 2 or above, your launch is amplified through LCN: a profile interview, launch day coverage, and distribution to journalists across the region. The same editorial rigor that LCN brings to its newsroom is the floor for what TSCP brings to your book.
Our standards.
The Independent Book Publishers Association maintains eleven criteria that separate a legitimate hybrid publisher from a vanity press. We have adopted those eleven criteria as our public floor. They are not the ceiling. They are the minimum any author working with us is entitled to expect. We publish the full list on the Author Rights page and we welcome any author considering us to hold us to it in writing.
Our founding imprint title.
We are a small press at the start of a long road. We are not the largest publisher in the Caribbean and we will not be soon. We intend to be the most trustworthy.
Team Shaw Caribbean Press is a registered Guyana publishing house and a member of the EICCIO Advisors group. Sister publication La Caribeña News covers Caribbean business and policy from Georgetown.
